Using FootballFirst means you agree to what's below. It's written to be readable, but it's still a legal agreement. Read it.

Who we are

FootballFirst is operated by Andrew Morrissey, a sole trader based in Ireland. Contact: andrewlaniganbusiness@gmail.com.

What FootballFirst is (and isn't)

FootballFirst is an independent travel inspiration tool. We use AI to suggest flights, hotels, and match tickets for football trips, and we earn commissions from partner sites when you book through our links.

We are not:

  • A licensed travel agent or tour operator.
  • A booking platform — we don't hold your money, issue tickets, or confirm reservations. All bookings happen on partner sites under their terms.
  • Affiliated with any football club, league, or governing body.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of prices, availability, or content on partner sites.

Your account

To save trips, you sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You're responsible for keeping access to that email secure — anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.

Acceptable use

Don't be a dickhead. Specifically:

  • Don't abuse the AI chat to run up our costs (automated scripts, rapid-fire requests, or attempts to use it as a general-purpose chatbot). We rate limit it and we reserve the right to block abusive IPs.
  • Don't scrape the site.
  • Don't attempt to bypass the authentication, circumvent rate limits, or exploit security gaps. If you find a security issue, report it to andrewlaniganbusiness@gmail.com — we'll be grateful.
  • Don't upload or submit anything illegal, abusive, or designed to harm others.
  • Don't pretend to be someone you're not.

We can suspend or delete accounts that break any of the above, at our discretion.

The AI scout — important

The AI chat (“the scout”) is powered by Anthropic's Claude. It does its best, but:

  • It can get things wrong. Flight prices, hotel availability, stadium info, match dates — verify everything on the partner site before you book.
  • It uses live web search and its own reasoning. Occasionally it'll invent a hotel name or suggest a match that doesn't exist. Treat its output as a starting point, not gospel.
  • We don't guarantee the accuracy of anything it returns.

If the scout tells you Dortmund are playing at Wembley, it's wrong. Always check.

Affiliate links and bookings

When you click through to a partner site (Aviasales, Booking.com, P1 Travel, Viagogo), you are dealing directly with that partner. Their terms apply to your booking, their customer service handles any issues. We don't have access to your booking and can't help with refunds, changes, or disputes on the partner's end.

Intellectual property

The FootballFirst name, logo, branding, written copy, and codebase are owned by Andrew Morrissey. Don't rip them off.

Match fixture data is sourced from API-Football under their licence. Club names, badges, and stadium names are used nominatively (to identify real things) and remain the property of their respective owners.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We don't warrant that it'll be available 24/7, that it'll be free of bugs, or that the AI output will be accurate. If the site is down when you need it, we're sorry, but we won't be liable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
  • We are not liable for losses relating to bookings made on partner sites (missed flights, wrong hotels, cancelled matches, etc.) — that's between you and the partner.
  • Our total liability to you, for any claim related to the site, is capped at €100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it can't legally be limited (e.g. for gross negligence or fraud).

Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Irish law. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Ireland. If you're a consumer in another EU country, your local consumer protection rights still apply.

Changes

We can update these terms when needed. The “Last updated” date changes. If the update is material, we'll put a notice on the homepage or email account holders.
